All in all, if your plan is to be in and out and shower at home, you should be OK. ![]() There is someone who comes around every so often to mop but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Three, the floor always seem to be flooded with water and hair. Whether tall or short in height, the space is just as narrow. Two, the lockers are ridiculously tiny - I'm not sure how they expect patrons to be able to fit their belongings in there, especially during winter. One, it's tiny and if you're there around the start or end of classes, it is packed and there's no way of avoiding bumping into others. Speaking of locker room, I am absolutely skeeved out by everything in there. ![]() Swim cap and lock is a must and you have to show these before you're let into the locker room to change. Speeds of swimmers are not strictly enforced so a lot of the times, many are not in their appropriate lanes and end up just taking up space, which can be frustrating to those who are in their groove. I am grateful to not have been here when there were more than 5 people to a lane. After reading the reviews, I try not to think about what was on the bottom of the pool or what other people are doing/not doing and get my laps in and be on my merry way. There is an open swim section, lanes for lap swimming, broken into slow, medium and fast lanes, as well as a section that seemed to be occupied by a swim team (at least at the times that I've been). I do appreciate that it is an Olympic-sized pool because I can't imagine it being any smaller serving the large amounts of people who visit. ![]() Membership is $150/year or $75/6 months for access to all NYPR facilities (you'd get another 10% off if you possess a IDNYC card). I'm a bit of a pool snob and while I wish some aspects of this pool were better, it's not a bad deal. ![]()
